Bonalive
04.03.2021.
Summary:
- BAG is easy handling
- Very good antibacterial property
- Using where infection is ongoing or in patients where a risk of developing infection is very high.
- In general: in the small defect using BAG stand-alone and in the large defect (over 5 cm) combining autograft – for the BAG to retain it's properties it is important that the ratio of BAG compared to autograft does not exceed 50%.
- Part of the treatment concept, not replacement
- Comparing with antibiotics no issues with resistance
- Bonalive granules should not be applied in acute infected tissues including an acute exacerbation of chronic osteomyelitis.
